Undergraduate Internships

The District Attorney's Office, Bureau of Investigation partners with Santa Barbara City College and offers internships to SBCC students. If you are interested in an internship in the Bureau of Investigations, please contact the SBCC Career Center (opens external website).

For Santa Maria applications, apply through the Hancock College Job Board (opens external website).

Law Clerk Internships

This internship is for law students and recent law school graduates who have taken the Bar and are awaiting Bar results. Applicants must successfully pass a background check.

Responsibilities include writing motions/oppositions, reviewing evidence, assisting with court preparation, observing court hearings, etc. Opportunities to appear and argue in court are also available to students and graduates who are Certified with the California State Bar. Application Deadlines

  • Fall Internship — Submit by May 31
  • Winter/Spring Internship — Submit by September 30
  • Summer Internship — Submit by December 31
